Tweakbit Scam - followup
As a followup to the Dec 17 post. The credit card in question was a rarely-used US Dollar card which I basically reserved for the odd online purchase.
The ONLY use of this card in the previous two years was the Tweakbit purchase. On Feb 3, 2018 I received a fraud alert from the credit card issuer. On calling their 800 number I learned that a charge of $1,599 had been put put through earlier that day, and they wanted to know if I would approve another purchase of $1,485 for "Scottsdale Pen".
Naturally I had the card cancelled on the spot. I leave it to the reader to decide if my "outing" of Tweakbit had anything to do with the credit card fraud.
Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.
Monetary Loss: $67.
Tweakbit Pros: Product was acceptable.
Tweakbit Cons: Unable to contact anyone, Hidden costs in the closing process, Affiliation with paddle com.
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
